Upgrade your staircase with our Solid and Square Ungrooved Handrails & Base Rails, crafted from high-quality Pine or American White Oak to complement any modern or traditional interior. These ungrooved rails feature a flat surface, making them ideal for use with surface-mounted spindles or chrome/brushed chrome glass clamps.

Product Features:

• Available in Solid HDR Profile (58mm x 58mm) or Square Ungrooved Profile (58mm x 58mm for handrails, 27mm x 58mm for base rails) to match your design preferences.
• Suitable for staircases and landings, with length options of 1800mm, 2400mm, 3600mm, and 4200mm.
• Supplied unfinished, allowing you to paint, stain, or varnish to match your décor.
• Compatible with any flat-faced newel post and can be fixed using traditional Mortise and Tenon joints or handrail-to-newel post fixing kits.
• Base rails are designed to be screwed securely to the stair string or landing floor.
• Handrails can be wall-mounted using brackets for added support and safety.
• 90-degree bends can be created during installation by cutting and mitring the rail.

Installation & Fixing:

• Handrails (58mm x 58mm): Securely attach to newel posts or walls using appropriate fixing methods.
• Base Rails (27mm x 58mm): Screw directly into the stair string or landing floor, ensuring screw heads are countersunk and hidden for a seamless look.
• Building regulations require spindles or glass panels to be spaced no more than 99mm apart to prevent gaps larger than 100mm.
• Handrail height must be at least 900mm, measured from the floor on landings and from the tread on stairs.
